Prominent white flares on underside of the petals. The petals should be furled outward according to Silvia Saunders’ notes so I think I have the correct plant. Photographs are very similar to those of one of my two plants of ‘Janice’ so I am questioning whether that ‘Janice’ is actually ‘Queen Rose’. They bloom at the same time, have similar heights, and flower colors. The foliage appears to be different however.
There is some discrepancy as to whether this is the plant formerly called ‘Masterpiece’ (seedling 15173 with lactiflora 1918 as female parent) or seedling 10065 as Silvia Saunders states.
