The ‘Nathalie’ I have appears to be very similar to my plant of ‘Queen Rose’ and I am still considering whether or not it is correct.\u00a0 However, in comparing it to a friend’s ‘Nathalie’ plant obtained from a different nursery, they appeared to be the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Silvia Saunders’ notes, ‘Nathalie’ is a deep bright cherry, semidouble with 3-4 rows of petals, blooms 3 days after ‘Ludovica’, has 3-5 small light green carpels, bright pink stigmas, very short cream filaments, and white discs on a tall plant. Her attribution of flower color does not match well with that in the 1939 Saunders’ catalogue, “brilliant salmon rose”.\u00a0 Could she have mixed up ‘Nadia’, a cherry pink, with ‘Nathalie’?<\/span><\/p>\n
