P. wittmanniana<\/em> is now considered a subspecies of P. daurica<\/em>, as is P. mlokosewitschii<\/em>.\u00a0 However, Saunders was able to successfully cross it with a lactiflora <\/em>while he could not achieve the same cross between lactiflora<\/em> and mlokosewitschii<\/em>.\u00a0 As one of the first generation of hybrids between two species, it is a rare double.\u00a0 Thus it is a much sought-after plant which may prove difficult to grow.<\/span><\/p>\n
